High-efficiency mulch blowers. An on-line property measuring service. Irrigation that knows when to water — and when not to. Instant quality control reports. Innovative design software.

The latest technology used in landscaping is revolutionizing how landscapers work.

These technological innovations help us do our work more quickly and efficiently than ever before.

(Learn more about how we leverage technology in the short video below.)

That benefits our customers, too, in ways you might not even realize.

Take a look.

Mulch Blowers

mulch-blower-in-action.jpgSpreading mulch the old-fashioned way — with wheelbarrows, pitchforks and shovels — takes a lot of time and toil.

Hi-tech mulch blowers require just two crew members to man a truck that blows mulch quickly and efficiently through a hose, in a fraction of the time it takes a 10-person crew to spread it by hand.

These machines help us spread large quantities of mulch in short periods of time, with even, neat application. No more messy piles or uneven spots.

Job Scripting With Go iLawn

Go iLawn is an online property measuring service that combines high resolution photographs, measuring tools and property information to obtain accurate measurements of any property.

A few clicks of the mouse lets us measure any outdoor surface on the property, whether we’re measuring an expanse of lawn for mowing or parking lots and sidewalks for snow removal.

Operations managers also use it to detail exactly how crews will proceed with a job, including what direction they’ll start work.

Then, an operations manager can pull up to a job site and size up the crew’s progress based on their location on the property.

It means more accurate pricing and better quality control.

Smart Irrigation

commercial irrigation trends.jpgCareless irrigation wastes a lot of water. The latest landscape irrigation technology stops the waste.

Smart irrigation controls don’t start up your system just based on time of day. They’re smarter than that. They can use local weather forecasts and your unique landscape conditions to tailor watering schedules perfect for your property.

Don’t worry about your watering schedule — smart controls take care of it. They automatically adjust for weather changes, using as little water as possible while keeping your landscape healthy and happy. You can even make adjustments remotely from your smartphone.

Some of your irrigation system’s components can probably be swapped for new, more efficient ones. Updated sprayers use less water, and may spray water more efficiently. Your goal is to water your lawn and plants — not your sidewalks or parking lot.

Servicing Requests

Landscape Design Technology

A decade ago, landscape designers created all their designs by hand, painstakingly sketching every element. When revisions were needed — and they always are — it was back, literally, to the drawing board.

Sequoia_Plaza_1_1.jpgThese days, our landscape designer uses sophisticated software to create designs on the computer. With one click, she can add a pergola or switch from an above view to a 3D view.

She can activate a camera feature that offers an actual walk-through of a commercial landscape design, wowing customers and giving them a realistic sense of what their improved property will look and feel like.

No more squinting at blueprints trying to imagine what all those circles really mean. No more guesswork. See exactly what your property will look like, transformed.

Quality Inspections

Nobody cares more about quality work than we do.

Our operations managers and account managers log into a site we designed and answer a series of questions about a completed job: Are the mowing lines straight? Were any weeds left behind? Are crews wearing protective gear?

Crew Shots-9.jpgThese quality reports get immediately emailed to our operating manager as well as to the appropriate branch managers. They can instantly review the report to make sure the job was done right.

On-Site Updates

When account managers are on a job site and see an issue to bring to the property manager’s attention, they can do that instantly.

Drainage issue? Fallen tree? A dated entrance that could use a re-do? They simply snap a photo with their phone and email it with their comments.

As landscapers, we’re up and at it early, but maybe you can’t tend to our comments until 5 p.m. Technology allows everybody to work on their own schedule.

Social Media

We love sharing news about our work and our family of employees, and social media lets us do that, across a host of platforms.

Check out a gallery of our latest work. Read personal profiles of our staff and see why they love what they do — and what they’re up to away from work. Learn some landscaping tips from our pros by reading our blog posts.

We love all the ways technology connects us.
